Shreyas Bapat is a final year undergraduate student at Indian Institute of Technology Mandi majoring in Electrical Engineering. His research interests include deep learning, performance, computational astrophysics and programmable matter. He helped form the Computational Astrophysics group, which develops algorithms for solving complex physical/observational problems in Astrophysics and Astronomy and related datasets.

Shreyas has undertaken various kinds of work ranging from cloud computing to deep learning. He is specifically interested to understand how deep learning works and how to make it fast. For that he has worked twice in Research Team of Siemens. He is now working in Semut Technologies where he is helping develop a PaaS platform and various SaaS.

Shreyas also maintains EinsteinPy, is a prominent contributor to poliastro, pytorch-lightning. He is a Managing Member of Python Software Foundation.
